Oshoala signs 3-year contract with Barcelona Ladies

After a successful loan spell with Barcelona Ladies, Super Falcons star, Asisat Oshoala has signed a three-year deal with the Spanish club.

The 24-year-old three-time African Player of the Year, who joined the Barca team on loan from Chinese club Dalian Quanjian in January, sealed a permanent move.

Oshoala scored eight goals in 11 games in all competitions for the Blaugrana, including the consolation goal in their 4-1 defeat to Lyon during the UEFA Women’s Champions League final in Budapest.

While at China, Oshoala won the Chinese Women’s Super League title with Dalian Quanjian in 2017.

She was also part of the Arsenal Ladies side that won the the English FA Cup crown in the 2015/2016 season.

The former Rivers Angels star, who has won three Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Cup, is expected to join the Super Falcons at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France, billed to kick off in June.
