RIVERS: Tanker rams into beer parlour, crushes 4 persons to death

Tragedy struck in the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State when a truck which lost control rammed into a beer parlour killing no less than four persons in the process.

According to reports, the truck which was heading for Eleme Refinery to load petroleum product, skidded off the road due to break failure and crashed into the beer parlour crushing the four victims to death.

Many who witnessed the incident wondered how the heavy duty truck rammed into the beer parlour and killed the innocent victims who were having a drink.

Reports say police officers attached to the Rumuokoro Police Station later arrived the scene of the incident and took away the dead bodies of the deceased.

As at the time of filing in this report, Mr. Nnamdi Omoni, the state Police Public Relations Officer was yet to comment on the incident.
