Reacting to the Portuguese’s hint of exit from the Spanish club, Real madrid captain Sergio Ramos has warned Cristiano Ronaldo that ‘he couldn’t go anywhere better’ than Real.

The La Liga side won a third consecutive Champions League trophy after defeating Premier League giants Liverpool 3-1 in Kiev, Ukraine on Saturday night.

Ronaldo, who has now won five Champions League titles, surprisingly claimed he could leave Madrid in a post-match interview after the game, but Ramos urged the World Cup bound superstar to reconsider his stance.

“Cris is a key piece in this squad. He couldn’t go anywhere better,” the defender said after Real won their 13th Champions League title.

“Cris likes to be loved and we’d be delighted if he stayed. He wouldn’t find a better place, he’s our ‘crack’.

“After that, anyone is free to make their own decisions. I hope he stays for many more years.

“I don’t think anyone would want to move elsewhere after touching the sky. Now comes the World Cup and a Champions League to enjoy.”

About winning the Champions League again, Ramos said: “It’s a dream come true, crazy, I now have the same number of Leagues as Champions Leagues.

“We knew it was going to be a complicated game against a great team. They gave everything and have a Coach who instilled the ethos of hard work in them.”

Ramos has however been a subject of discussion on social media after a tackle from him inflicted Mohamed Salah with a shoulder injury – a development that has put the Egyptian in doubt of playing in next month’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.
