DSS orders to pay N5m to Ekiti lawmaker over illegal detention

Apparently reacting to rumours of the death of a member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, the Department of State Security Service, DSS, Thursday, paraded Hon. Akanni Afolabi before journalists in Abuja.

The House member, who represents Efon constituency, has been detained by the DSS after the invasion of the House of Assembly complex by armed operatives of the secret police on March 4.
