WARRI: Task force team brutalized by residents opposed to sit-at-home order (video)

A video has emerged online of angry Warri youths attacking officials of the Delta State taskforce enforcing the lockdown imposed on the state by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

It would be recalled that Governor Okowa, had announced on March 26, that the state will be on total lockdown starting from today April 1, in an effort to guard against the spread of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic from spreading to the state.

However, the angry youths attacked the officials along Jakpa Road in the city, claiming that they cannot stay at home when they have nothing to eat.

The video showed the youths, who blocked the van of the taskforce beating some of them. Watch the video below:
