Fire razes World Trade Centre, Abuja

A section of the World Trade Centre building located in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, was on Monday gutted by fire.

Ugo Huan, Spokesperson of the Federal Fire Service (FFS) who confirmed the fire incident said that personnel of the service were immediately drafted to the scene and they succeeded in putting out the fire.

Eyewitnesses at the scene of the fire outbreak said that the incident may have been as a result of electrical fault from the power source being used for the construction of the building.

According to reports, the raging fire started from the top of the skyscraper which dots the skyline of Central Business District, Abuja as smoke billowed from the pinnacle of the building.
