Madrid grab late winner to beat Valencia

Spanish giants Real Madrid scored an 86th-minute winner to beat Valencia on Saturday, as they continue in their quest for the La Liga title this season.

Star player, Cristiano Ronaldo, struck early for the home side, as he became the all-time leading scorer in Europe’s top five leagues, but went on to miss a second-half penalty.

Dani Parejo equalised for Valencia in the 82nd minute, before Marcelo scored the winner four minutes later to move Real to the top of the table.

As it stands, Real are three points clear at the top, but Barcelona could go top if they win at Espanyol later on Saturday.

Real will claim the title if they win each of their remaining four league matches as they have a game in hand on the their title rivals, Barcelona.
