Rohr invites Odey, Olatubosun for Corsica friendly

AFCON QUALIFIER: Rohr invites Zamalek's Maarouf Yussuf

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has handed debut invitation to Nigeria Professional Football League players, Alhassan Ibrahim, Stephen Odey and Sikiru Olatubosun for the friendly match against a team from the Corsica region of France scheduled to hold later in May.

Vitoria Setubal midfielder Mikel Agu was also invited, while Ogenyi Onazi, Odion Ighalo and Brown Ideye were left out from the squad.

Chelsea’s Ola Aina and Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi have been given permission to join the team’s camp in Paris after their club’s English FA Cup final on May 27.

The Super Eagles will open camp in Corsica on May 24th and then play against the Corsica team two days later, before moving camp to Paris to camp ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa.
