No less than four persons have been killed in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State following an ambush by unknown gunmen.
The ambush which happened in the Adu community, Kwall district of the LGA, Sunday night was confirmed to newsmen by a resident and a former spokesman for the Miango Youth Development Association in the council area, Lawrence Zongo.
According to him, there has been an unchecked attack against the people of the area in recent times. He said no less than 15 persons have been killed by the marauders and property worth of millions of naira damaged in the past weeks.
He said that the persons were killed around 9pm on Sunday.
The state police command is yet to confirm the development. However, the state Coordinator, Neighbourhood Watch, Ola Azeez, is said to have confirmed the attack, adding that his men had been deployed to the area.
